Diploma ceremony at the Daroul Iklasse Center: CADEV Niger supports young women's integration through the PARCAN program

The Daroul Iklasse vocational training center buzzed with excitement this weekend during the diploma ceremony for the 2024-2025 class of trainees. About a hundred young women received their end-of-training certificates in a festive atmosphere, marked by speeches, cultural performances and an enthusiastic audience.

Among them, 29 young women were placed at this center by CADEV Niger, through its Program to Support the Resilience of the Communities of Ayorou and Niamey (PARCAN), funded with the support of Caritas Denmark. This support now brings to 42 the total number of young women enrolled by CADEV at this center over the past two years.

Thanks to the Women and Youth component of the PARCAN program, these trainees received vocational training in promising fields such as:

• sewing and decoration,

• beauty and aesthetics,

• cooking and pastry-making.

These fields offer them real prospects for professional integration and help reduce youth unemployment, particularly among young women.

The ceremony was also an opportunity to officially launch the activities of the Federation of Women Processors "Tounda Hiney", further strengthening the momentum toward women's empowerment.

CADEV Niger, represented by the PARCAN program officials, expressed its thanks to the management of the Daroul Iklasse Center for its commitment and the quality of the training provided to beneficiaries.

By supporting these initiatives, CADEV Niger and its partners reaffirm their determination to give young women the means to build a better future and become key players in the development of their communities.
