PASAN Coordination Meeting – CADEV Niger

Caritas Développement-Niger (CADEV Niger) organized, in Dosso, the coordination meeting for its Food and Nutrition Security Support Program (PASAN), funded by Caritas Norway for a period of 5 years.
This meeting brought together program officials from the dioceses of Maradi, Niamey as well as the National Executive Secretariat, in a spirit of reflection, review and strategic planning.
🎯 The purpose of the PASAN program is to:
Improve the living conditions of populations in the communes of Matankari, Makalondi, Konni and Illéla (regions of Dosso, Tillabéri and Tahoua), through:
✅ The sustainable protection of livelihoods,
✅ Meeting basic needs,
✅ Strengthening capacities in risk and disaster management.
With PASAN, CADEV Niger aims to support agro-pastoral households affected by food and nutrition crises, by strengthening local production and climate change adaptation capacities.
🌍 The program is fully aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 2:
"End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture."
🛠️ The work focused on:

The analysis of achievements from 2023 to 2025,

The alignment of activities, the logical framework and the budget,
-
Taking evaluation recommendations into account,

Planning actions for the second half of 2025 and projections for 2026 and 2027.
📌 Expected results:

Harmonized and shared practices,

A coherent, strengthened intervention framework,

Clear and inclusive planning of next steps.
🤝 This meeting marks an important step toward more effective implementation and a concrete improvement in the living conditions of rural communities.
