Training of CADEV accountants on SYCEBNL: strategic capacity building

Accountants, chief accountants and finance officers of CADEV-NIGER are benefiting, from 7 to 9 April 2025, from practical training on SYCEBNL (Accounting System for Non-Profit Entities) as part of the EA 19-2024 SAHEL CENTRAL project. This session, led by Mr. Labo Noma Adamou, a chartered accountant recognized for his solid experience, aims to strengthen participants' capacity to master this tool, essential for sound financial management of NGOs. SYCEBNL accounting is an adaptation of the OHADA accounting system designed specifically for non-profit entities in West Africa. At the opening of the session, the National Executive Secretary of CADEV-NIGER encouraged participants to be diligent and committed throughout the training. This learning opportunity revisited the fundamentals of SYCEBNL, clarified data-entry and reporting procedures, and addressed accountants' specific concerns. Participants welcomed the initiative, seeing it as an important step forward for greater financial transparency within the organization.
